10 Easy Christmas Foods To Make With Children

Getting crafty in the kitchen is one of our favourite things to do as a family over Christmas, so I’ve put together this list of my 10 favourite foodie things to make at Christmas. Each one will be suitable for the children to get involved with too. Check them out below, you never know; you might just find a new tradition to start with your own family.

1. Festive cupcakes. Cupcakes are so simple and really easy to make especially if you buy a packet mix that comes with pretty much everything you need.

2. Chocolate Dipped Giant Marshmallows. I love this idea as it would the perfect little gift or a stocking filler. They’re also so easy and so fun to make and you only need 3 ingredients!

3. Rice Krispy Trees. You can literally make so many cool things with Rice Krispies - and these trees are just awesome. So simple to make with ver little ingredients or prep time. Image credit: Pinterest 

4. Chocolate Slabs/bark
I love working with chocolate, it’s such a versatile ingredient and perfect for taste testing mid recipe. So it’s only fitting that I add one of my own creations here. Making chocolate slabs or bark is the easiest of recipes to accomplish and children absolutely love it. And no matter what you make, chocolate will always make a perfect gift.

5. Chocolate & Pretzel Trees. Seeing as I love chocolate so much these had to be in the list. Super easy and super fun to make with children.

6. Christmas Jelly Pots. I always associate Jelly with Chris because my dad always used to make a trifle when I was a child, but these jelly pots look so fun and festive I couldn’t not put them in this list.

7. Melted Snowman Hot Chocolate. 
Perfect for a cosy evening by the fire. Children will love watching the marshmallow snowmen melt into the chocolate.
